Switzerland will double the funding for the program to support the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The funding for the competition for Swiss companies in Ukraine has been increased
The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) has announced that the total funding for the application competition for Swiss companies in Ukraine is increasing from 50 to 100 million Swiss francs.
This competition is the first stage of Switzerland's initiative to support Ukraine for the period from 2025 to 2028. Within the framework of this initiative, 1.5 billion Swiss francs will be allocated for project implementation. This is just part of the total support over 12 years, which will amount to 5 billion francs, the Ministry of Economy reported.
'The high level of interest from the Swiss business community indicates the effectiveness of our cooperation with other partner countries through intergovernmental agreements. Being pleased with the success of this approach, partners decided to double the funding for the program. An additional 50 million Swiss francs will be directed to reconstruction projects in Ukraine in collaboration with Swiss companies. We sincerely thank our Swiss partners for this decision, which will significantly strengthen economic recovery. The program aims to implement projects in the areas of civilian protection, infrastructure reconstruction, municipal services, and modernization of public services,' said Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko.
In connection with the expansion of the program, the application deadline has been extended to March 31, 2025.
The competition is open to Swiss companies that have a representative office of a Ukrainian legal entity and can make a significant contribution to the reconstruction and development of the Ukrainian economy.
