Switzerland denies asylum to Ukrainians from rear regions
Ukrainians living in the rear regions of Ukraine will not receive 'S permits' for asylum in Switzerland. This decision was made by the House of Representatives and aims to prevent protection from being granted to individuals who were in Ukraine-controlled territories without active combat. However, this restriction does not apply to other individuals seeking asylum in Switzerland.
For Ukrainians who still want to work in Switzerland, this decision becomes a barrier due to the language barrier and complex asylum application conditions. Even with specialized job vacancies available, those seeking asylum with S status face numerous difficulties.
