According to ТСН: In Ukraine, after the end of the war with Russia, an increase in the number of veterans and their family members to 5-6 million people is expected.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this information after a meeting with representatives of the Coalition of Veteran Public Organizations.

"According to our estimates, after the war, Ukraine will have about 5-6 million veterans and their family members. That is why veteran policy must be organically integrated into all areas of life," she emphasized.

Svyrydenko also noted several decisions that the government plans to make in the near future.

Support for Veterans

In particular, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, together with public organizations, will hold consultations with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economy to develop proposals in the areas of medical assistance and employment.

Additionally, the government is working on providing veterans with disabilities access to driving tests in barrier-free driving schools. This process will also be coordinated with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Earlier, it was reported that the Third Assault Team outlined the priority of veterans in hiring.

Also, recently the police detained a person who beat and shot at a veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is important that the increase in the number of veterans and their family members becomes the foundation for a new veteran policy in Ukraine. Government attention and active measures in this direction can significantly improve the lives of those who defended the country and integrate them into society.
