Vasilisa Frolova on life in Dubai: why video calls are not allowed there.
Vasilisa Frolova - a TV presenter, model, and actress from Ukraine - currently lives in Dubai. For over a year and a half, she has been exploring the local way of life and culture. In an interview with NV, the star shared her impressions of staying in this country.
'I don't want to sound too promotional, but I haven't seen any signs of violence or aggression in the behavior of those around me. There are no homeless or drunk people - alcohol is prohibited in most public places. There is great security due to surveillance almost everywhere, so it is easy to recognize a criminal. But there are unexpected aspects - video calls on social networks are banned, the state blocks this. You can only use Zoom, Google Meet, or the local messenger Botim. Using a VPN can lead to a large fine - 500,000 dirhams (5 million UAH)', - Frolova said.
According to Vasilisa, Dubai particularly values innovation in business, which contributes to the rapid development of enterprises.
'Showy living and love for luxurious clothing are another local feature. It is normal to fantasize about wearing a lot of expensive brand clothing, as the more brands in your outfit, the better. Red lipstick, a luxurious hairstyle, all the best cosmetics, gold. You are judged at first glance, so show what you are capable of. For those who prefer more modest values, it may seem overly fabricated', - the presenter added.
Recently, showman Ruslan Khanumak returned to Ukraine, as reported by Korrespondent.net on Telegram.
Ukrainian TV presenter, model, and actress Vasilisa Frolova spoke about her impressions of life in Dubai, where she studies the local culture and highlighted the peculiarities of life in the UAE. Vasilisa noted the absence of violence and drunk people in the city and also spoke about other unusual aspects of local life, such as restrictions on the use of social networks and fines for using a VPN.
