Terrorist Attack in Germany: The Suspected Doctor Faces Several Charges.
The driver of the car that mowed down the Christmas market in the city of Magdeburg, Germany, has been charged with murder and attempted murder. The court has ordered pretrial detention for the suspect, who ran over people on three occasions, injuring more than 200 individuals. The perpetrator is known for his hostility towards Islam and had expressed support for the far-right party AfD and Elon Musk.
The person who committed the attack is a psychiatrist and has been living in Germany for two decades. The motive behind the attack remains unknown. The suspect actively promoted support for these parties and Musk on social media prior to the attack. His posts sparked outrage in Saudi Arabia.
As a result of the attack, two people died, and over 60 were injured, including one Ukrainian citizen.
