One of the suspects in the terror attack in New Orleans had previously visited the city and filmed videos of the French Quarter using Meta smart glasses. This was reported by FBI representatives. The video shows the streets of the French Quarter crowded with tourists. The glasses found with the suspect were worn on the day of the attack but were not used.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, suspect Jabbar was spotted on December 31 at a gun shop in Texas. He also purchased an ice chest at one of the businesses. He used this chest to hide an improvised explosive device.

On New Year's Eve on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, a truck ran into people, and then the driver exited the vehicle and began shooting. Explosive devices were also discovered at the scene of the tragedy. 14 people were killed, and about 30 were injured. Currently, 13 victims are in the hospital, and 8 are in intensive care.

According to the FBI, suspect Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar is a U.S. citizen from Texas and previously served in the military. It is also reported that he planned to attack his family but changed his mind. There are also claims that he may be linked to the 'Islamic State' due to suggestions in his dreams.
