PrivatBank has extended the validity of cards: Who still needs a replacement?.
According to inkorr.com: PrivatBank customers whose payment cards have expired do not need to worry about their replacement – the bank has automatically extended the validity of all cards during martial law. However, in some cases, it is advisable to reissue the card. This is reported by the magazine Novyny.LIVE.
How old PrivatBank cards work
Extended cards remain active and their owners can use them without restrictions:
for paying for goods in Ukraine and online;
for withdrawing cash at ATMs, terminals, and cash registers;
for transactions in the application and on the 'Privat24' portal.
However, old cards may not be accepted everywhere abroad, so bank experts recommend that customers who are traveling replace their card with a new one.
When should you reissue the card?
Reissue is recommended, when:
the customer wants to receive an updated card;
the card is damaged or lost;
it is necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the card abroad.
How to order a new card
Although the validity of the cards has been extended, a new card can be ordered in various ways:
Order a digital card via 'Privat24';
Get an instant card at a bank branch;
Order card delivery in Ukraine or abroad.
The online reissue process in
'Privat24'looks quite simple: You need to open the 'Wallet' menu, select the required card, specify the branch, and click 'Order Card'. There is also a video tutorial on the bank's website that helps to carry out this process in a few minutes.
This initiative by PrivatBank helps customers cope with the temporary difficulties arising during martial law. Access to financial resources is extremely important, especially when it comes to payments abroad or online. Therefore, it is essential to pay attention to the opportunities for card reissue and stay informed about financial news. One should not be afraid of card replacement, as it allows using modern services and technologies that the bank offers.
