Task analysis

On this section of the road, the driver intends to turn around to then stop to pick up the passenger. The broken markings beside the car allow for a turnaround, and according to item 10.7 of the Traffic Rules, turning near public transport stops is not prohibited.

Now let's read item 15.9 of the Traffic Rules:

'Stopping is prohibited closer than 30 meters from the boarding areas for route vehicles, and in their absence — closer than 30 meters from the road sign of such a stop on both sides'.

The road sign 5.45.1 'Bus stop' is installed. This means that the passenger should be picked up in another place — further from the stop.

Previously, we offered tasks to check your knowledge of traffic rules:

  • Tricky traffic rules test: is the maneuver allowed at the crossing?
  • Traffic rules test for attentive drivers: is overtaking allowed?
In this task, the driver of the yellow car is not allowed to make a turnaround and stop to pick up the passenger due to the presence of the road sign 'Bus stop' and the impossibility of stopping closer than 30 meters from it.
