The connection with the defender was lost on February 14, 2023. A few days later, Ivan Adamko's family was informed by the military office that he was missing. According to the information from the Zastavna City Council, the date of his death is considered to be February 17. The soldier's body could only be returned to the family in the summer of 2024 during a swap. This was reported by

Life and Service
Ivan Mykhailovych Adamko was born on January 19, 1987, in Zastavna, Chernivtsi Oblast. He acquired the profession of a carpenter at vocational school No. 24. Recently, he worked as a salesperson in a furniture store and assembled furniture. In his spare time, he enjoyed meeting friends, relaxing in nature, and riding a bicycle.
At the beginning of the full-scale war, Ivan stood up to defend Ukraine, serving in the 8th battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade 'Edelweiss.' Initially, for more than six months, he was an artilleryman, and in the last month, he performed the duties of an infantry stormtrooper, participating in combat operations in the area of Bilohorivka in the Bakhmut region. On February 14, 2023, contact with him was lost. The family only learned about his disappearance a few days later, and his body was returned only the next summer. Ivan was buried on November 7, 2024.
Ivan Adamko is just one of many tragic stories of the deaths of Ukrainian heroes as a result of the war with Russia. His dedication in service and concern for Ukraine's fate testify to the bravery and spirit of the Ukrainian people.
