"Zelensky's Thousand" can be spent on medicine, but there is an important nuance.
Ukrainians will be able to receive financial support in the amount of 1000 hryvnias on a special card this winter. These funds can be used to purchase Ukrainian medicines and medical products. However, there is an important condition - only medicines of Ukrainian production can be purchased. This was reported by "Khvylia".
On November 1st, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, along with Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko, met with representatives of pharmaceutical networks and drug manufacturers. At this meeting, they discussed the possibility of adding Ukrainian medicines and medical products to the list for which 1000 hryvnias can be spent. About 50 drug manufacturers and 250 pharmacy points and suppliers of medical goods have already joined the "National Cashback" program. This will not only support citizens but also contribute to the development of domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers.
Previously, Ukrainians spent over 500 million hryvnias on medicines during the execution of previous support programs, such as "eSupport" and financial aid in the amount of 6.5 thousand hryvnias.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky earlier announced a payout of 1000 hryvnias to each Ukrainian. These funds can be used to purchase Ukrainian goods, pay for utilities, buy "Ukrzaliznytsia" tickets, and medicines from domestic manufacturers.
