Zelensky discussed paths to peace and security with the Prime Minister of Norway
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The main topic of the conversation was the expansion of security cooperation and achieving peace in Ukraine.
The head of state reported this in his Telegram channel.
'We discussed our cooperation with partners and clarified our common positions. Norway supports maintaining pressure on Russia to ensure peace, this is very important,' Zelensky wrote.
The President emphasized that the path to peace begins with a ceasefire, using the format proposed by the USA and supported by Ukraine.
The parties also discussed opportunities to expand security cooperation in various formats and agreed to work together on this issue.
Separately, Zelensky informed the Prime Minister about Russian shelling of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.
Let us remind that the Prime Minister of Norway and the former NATO Secretary General will meet with the President of the United States on Wednesday, April 24. During the meeting, security issues, NATO, the war in Ukraine, as well as trade and business will be discussed.
