The incident happened on November 14 in the village of Hoptivka, in the Derhachi community. The explosion of the dangerous object occurred when the woman came into contact with it. Law enforcement is currently investigating the circumstances of the case.

"An elderly woman, driven by her fatal curiosity, picked up the Russian drone, which eventually exploded. Unfortunately, as a result, she sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene," said Zadořenko.

The Kharkiv region police reported that this drone was discovered by a pensioner near the entrance of her building.
