According to TSN.ua: On January 14, a tragedy occurred in the Obolonsky District of Kyiv, resulting in the death of an employee of the company Kyivteploenergo. The incident took place while performing works with equipment for autonomous heating supply of boiler houses against the backdrop of attacks by the Russian Federation on the capital and severe weather conditions. The Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA) confirmed the information about the event, expressing condolences to the family of the deceased.
The President of Ukraine declared a state of emergency in the country's energy sector, a consequence of not only military actions but also extreme weather conditions that complicate the work of communal services. The KCSA noted that the employees of Kyivteploenergo were performing their work under difficult conditions, working in the frost without rest to provide warmth to Kyiv residents.
