Trump Appoints Kellogg as Official Representative on Ukraine War: What is Known About Him.
Trump Changed Assistant to the President on Ukraine and Russia
U.S. President Donald Trump has appointed retired General Keith Kellogg as Assistant to the President and Special Representative on Ukraine and Russia.
Kellogg previously worked in national security during Trump's first term.
'He has been with me from the beginning!' Trump said, adding that they will work together to achieve 'peace through strength' and make 'America and the world safe again.'
This July, Kellogg presented a plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, which involves providing American weapons to Kyiv only on the condition of peace negotiations with Russia. The plan also proposes freezing the front lines in their current state.
The document expresses a promise to provide Ukraine with more American weapons if it agrees to peace negotiations. The U.S. will clearly warn Russia: if it refuses negotiations, Washington will strengthen support for Kyiv.
