Trump appointed Pam Bondi as U.S. Attorney General after Matt Gaetz's resignation
U.S. President Donald Trump appointed Pam Bondi as U.S. Attorney General after Matt Gaetz resigned from the position. He noted that Bondi served as Florida's attorney general for nearly twenty years and made the state safer for families. Bondi also served on the Commission on Substance Abuse during Trump’s presidency and was his attorney in the impeachment proceedings in 2020. The elected president stated that she will refocus the Department of Justice on fighting crime and restoring safety in America.
