U.S. President Donald Trump warned that there would be 'hell to pay' in the Middle East if HAMAS does not release Israeli hostages in Gaza before he takes office in January.
According to the Financial Times, Trump's comments came as the Biden administration makes a final push for a ceasefire deal in exchange for the release of hostages between Israel and HAMAS after last week it succeeded in halting the conflict between Israel and 'Hezbollah' in Lebanon.
'If the hostages are not released by January 20, 2025, there will be hell to pay in the Middle East,' Trump stated in a post on his social platform Truth Social.
Trump added that 'those responsible for these atrocities against humanity will be punished more severely than anyone has ever been punished in the long and eventful history of the United States of America.'
