US President Donald Trump held a press conference at the White House where he was asked about a possible meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. Trump responded that such a meeting is quite possible.

The US president stated that crossing borders with Putin is 'a very good prospect' for him. Trump emphasized that the meeting could possibly take place very soon.

'We had very positive dialogues with Putin today. And there is great hope for a conclusion, for reaching the end of this difficult road. The road may be longer, but there is a high probability that the meeting will take place', Trump commented.

When asked about Putin's further actions after the meeting with special representative Steven Witkoff, Trump left many reservations. However, he noted that he does not consider this meeting a breakthrough.

Earlier, Donald Trump stated that he is ready to meet with Russian dictator Putin, but only on the condition that it helps end the war in Ukraine.
