And Trump actually rehabilitated himself for the media disaster at the meeting in Alaska with Putin. In Washington, he showed that there is transatlantic unity, that the United States is not abandoning Ukraine, is ready to listen to counterarguments, and this has been done,' the speaker emphasized.

According to Chalenko, the negotiations between the presidents of Ukraine and the USA, as well as the European leaders in Washington, went better than expected.

'It is positive for us that we were able to defend the postponement of the topic of territories to a bilateral meeting with Putin. The main point was discussing security guarantees for our state. As we see, this process is now intensified and accelerated. There is information that the head of the group will be US Secretary Rubio, although we know that for several months already, British Prime Minister Starmer and French President Macron have been working on this. That is, they are working on developing security guarantees,' Chalenko emphasized.

It is important for the meeting between Zelensky and Putin to happen soon. Then the Russian Federation will not be able to manipulate the current negotiations on a ceasefire and future peace in Ukraine.
