US President Donald Trump expressed surprise that Russia continues to bomb cities in Ukraine despite his conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

He made this statement during an interview with Newsmax on Saturday, August 2.

'He is obviously a tough kid, so nothing has changed in that regard. However, I am surprised. We had many good conversations during which we could have stopped this situation, and suddenly the bombings began', the American president said.
Earlier, Trump also commented on Putin's intentions to seize all of Ukraine's territory, despite possible sanctions and warnings from the US.
In addition, the American leader ordered nuclear submarines to approach Russia following Medvedev's threats regarding the use of nuclear weapons.
Donald Trump expressed his surprise regarding the ongoing shelling of Ukrainian cities by Russia after his conversations with Putin did not bring a resolution to the conflict. He also noted that Putin's intentions regarding Ukraine have not changed, and he ordered nuclear submarines to approach Russian borders in response to threats of nuclear weapon use.
