The Head of the Defense Procurement Agency Has Been Officially Changed.

The head of the Defense Procurement Agency has been replaced. The position is now held by Arsen Zhumadilov. This was reported by 'Главком' referring to data from the analytical system Youcontrol.

Nevertheless, Zhumadilov continues to manage the state enterprise 'State Rear Operator'.

According to a comment from the director of the procurement policy department of the Ministry of Defense, Gleb Kanyevsky, for Radio NV, after Zhumadilov's transition to the Defense Procurement Agency, the Supervisory Board of the 'State Rear Operator' must conduct a new competition for the position of head.

Interestingly, on January 6 and 17, Arsen Zhumadilov stated significant changes in his property status in the declaration. In particular, he noted that he received a salary of UAH 520,900 as the head of the 'State Rear Operator'.

It is worth noting that Ukraine's Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov decided to dismiss everyone who failed the defense procurements. Specifically, Deputy Minister of Defense Dmytro Klimenko and the head of the Supervisory Board of the Defense Procurement Agency, Marina Bezrukova, will be dismissed. The relevant announcement was published by the minister on his Facebook profile.

As reported by 'Главком', the conflict between the Ministry of Defense leadership and the head of the Defense Procurement Agency, Marina Bezrukova, caused yet another scandal. Public activists, including the Anti-Corruption Action Center, support Bezrukova, while MP, head of the 'Holos' faction, and associate of Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Oleksandr Ustinov, criticizes the activities of the Agency.

Marina Bezrukova was appointed as the head of the Agency in January last year. Her resume indicates seven years of experience at NEC 'Ukrenergo', where she implemented a modern procurement system. In total, she has over 20 years of experience in supply chain management and partnerships with foreign companies. However, after a year of working at the state enterprise under the Ministry of Defense, Bezrukova felt the peculiarities of working in the arms business.

As a note, former employee of the Defense Procurement Agency Vitaly Chernenko was detained by the Security Service as part of a criminal proceeding for fraud.
