Belarusian military tested a new missile for the Buk-MB2 air defense system near the border with Ukraine. This information was reported by the monitoring group 'Belaruski Hayun'.

The new missile was tested in the territory of the 'Olymanske' swamp and a new flight restriction zone in southern Belarus. It is noted that this is not the first Time that the military has tested missiles in this area.

It is mentioned that the tests were conducted at the former airfield training ground, where bombing training was previously held. There is also a flight restriction zone in effect until December 20, 2024.

The 9M318 missile is designed to hit various types of targets: fast maneuvering aerodynamic targets, tactical missiles, helicopters, and ground targets. The monitoring group 'Belaruski Hayun' reminds that the flight restriction zone remains in effect until December 20, so further missile launches may occur in the coming days.

It is also worth noting that air alarms may increase in the Rivne and Volyn regions due to military exercises in Belarus. This was reported by the mayor of Rivne, Oleksandr Tretyak.

It is preliminarily known that Russia and Belarus have planned joint military exercises 'West-2025'. Ukrainian border guards do not rule out the possibility of troop movement towards Ukraine and are monitoring the developments. It is also planned to create three training centers for joint military preparation in Belarus and Russia. Over 160 agreements on joint military activities have already been signed.
