According to inkorr.com: The Chernivtsi region surprises us again with its mushrooms. In particular, the unusual mushroom 'corpse fingers' drew the attention of local residents. One of the locals found this interesting mushroom and shared a photo in the Gribnyky UA community. Its shape resembles black elongated 'fingers' growing from moss or a stump. Although the mushroom is not poisonous, it is not recommended to eat it due to possible stomach issues.
Rare mushroom in the Carpathians
Moreover, in Bukovina, a rare mushroom Porpolomopsis calyptriformis has been discovered in the Carpathians, listed in the Red Book of Ukraine as a species that requires special protection.
These finds testify to the richness of the mushroom world in the Chernivtsi region, where many unknown species are still waiting to be discovered. The growing popularity of mushroom picking among locals also emphasizes the importance of awareness about safe mushrooms, as some of them can be dangerous to health. The preservation of rare mushroom species, such as Porpolomopsis calyptriformis, requires attention and careful attitude towards nature.
