Opportunities for veterans in 'Diia'

New opportunities for veterans have appeared in the 'Diia' supermarket. Now they can take advantage of the digital platform Veteran Pro. Novyny.LIVE was present at the Veteran Pro presentation on Monday, July 7.

Oleh Shymanskyi, Deputy Minister, shared with Novyny.LIVE that there are many services for veterans, but often they need help to understand all the opportunities available to them. The Ministry of Veterans, together with the government, supports accompanying specialists who provide assistance to veterans in communities. Now there will be a possibility for a quick search for such specialists and evaluation of their work so that veterans can access quality service.

Veterans will be able to contact specialists by phone or email. These specialists will undergo training to better understand the needs of veterans and communicate effectively with them. About 2,000 such specialists are planned to be hired.

In Ukraine, there are over a million veterans, most of whom cannot personally visit government institutions due to physical limitations. In addition, the government has started working on the 'Path of the Wounded' project, which aims to simplify the process of providing assistance to soldiers with injuries sustained in battles.
