According to Novyny.live: In Dnipro, members of a military medical commission forged HIV test results, enabling 48 men to obtain a status of being unfit for military service. This criminal activity took place from April to October 2024. According to the investigation, nine individuals have been identified as the organizers and perpetrators of this scheme. This case highlights ongoing challenges with corruption and military mobilization in Ukraine.
The indictment in the case was sent to court on February 25. If the suspects are found guilty, they face a maximum prison sentence of up to eight years. Furthermore, punishment may also extend to those who utilized the doctors' services, who could face up to five years of imprisonment.
