According to the press service of the Dnipropetrovsk region police, neighbors called law enforcement to report a conflict in one of the apartments where cries for help were heard.
Police Actions
Police officers quickly arrived at the scene. They negotiated with the man, trying to calm him down and persuade him to let his mother go so she wouldn't get hurt.
With the support of special forces from the KORD unit, law enforcement officers detained the 48-year-old man, who had absconded from his place of service. He was taken to the police station for clarification of the circumstances. Investigative actions are currently ongoing.

The woman with bodily injuries was taken to the hospital.
