The most expensive penthouse in the world was sold in Dubai for 136 million dollars. This record sale took place on Palm Jumeirah Island. The apartments are still under construction, reports Architectural Digest.
The penthouse will be located on the 71-story Como Residences tower, which has an area of 22,000 square feet. The residence will be almost at the tip of the skyline, at a height of 984 feet (300 meters) above Palm Jumeirah Island.
The buyer has not been disclosed yet, but some publications indicate that he comes from Eastern Europe.
Como Residences will offer apartments with varying numbers of bedrooms. Prices start from 5.7 million dollars. The special penthouse features five bedrooms, a panoramic pool with a 260-degree view, and stunning panoramas of Dubai's most famous landmarks.
Penthouse buyers will also have access to a private beach, an 82-foot swimming pool, and a landscaped pool. Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
Previously, the record deal was in New York, where a penthouse was sold for 238 million dollars.
