In the city of Hamburg, Germany, a 39-year-old woman attacked passersby with a knife, injuring at least 12 people. The incident occurred near tracks 13 and 14 at the platform around 6:00 PM local time. Of the injured, three are in critical condition, three suffered serious injuries, and six have minor injuries. The police have detained the suspect - the woman.

According to Hamburg police, they believe the woman acted alone, without accomplices. Currently, it is unknown what motives lay behind the attack and who exactly the attacker is. Train traffic in the area was temporarily suspended for an investigation.
