The case came to light on June 14, when authorities learned that the mother had entrusted her three-year-old son and daughter to the care of a 10-year-old child, raising serious alarm among law enforcement. She now faces an administrative penalty under Part 1 of Article 184 of the Ukrainian Code, which imposes fines ranging from 850 to 1,700 hryvnias for failure to fulfill parental duties. If the same offense is repeated within a year, the fine may increase to as much as 5,100 hryvnias.
In a separate incident, law enforcement removed a six-year-old boy from a hazardous environment. The child was found with a bruise on his lower back, indicating possible abuse. His 50-year-old mother was issued an administrative protocol for committing repeated domestic violence.
