According to inkorr.com: In the Dnipro district of Kherson, a 13-year-old boy detonated a Russian mine. This information was made public by the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, as reported by 'Glavkom'.
According to the administration's report, the 13-year-old boy rode his bicycle over a petal-type anti-personnel mine. As a result of the detonation, he suffered a traumatic brain injury and concussion, as well as shrapnel wounds to his face, chest, and legs.
The boy is currently in the hospital under medical supervision, and his condition is assessed as moderate.
Recently, in the village of Velytensky, Kherson region, three volunteers were injured as a result of an explosion caused by a Russian mine when their vehicle ran over an explosive device. In Muzikyivka, Kherson region, an 11-year-old boy detonated a mine.
According to the official, this boy was also hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to his legs, chest, and abdomen.
Earlier in Novoraysk, Kherson region, a car with a family on board ran over a mine, resulting in injuries to four people.
The danger from Russian mines continues to threaten local residents in various settlements of Kherson region, causing numerous tragedies and injuries among both youth and adults. There is an urgent need to ensure safety and demining of areas to protect the lives and health of people.
This case confirms how important the problem of demining is in the region. Authorities and local organizations need to work more actively on clearing areas of explosive objects, as people’s lives depend on the safety of their environment. Supporting families affected by such incidents also remains an important part of this work.
