According to inkorr.com: Mountain rescuers from Prykarpattia reported that true winter weather has set in the Carpathians. Heavy snowfall and a significant deterioration in weather conditions were recorded at the summit of Mount Pip Ivan Chornohory, as informed by Glavkom citing the rescuers.

According to the Chornohirsk Mountain Search and Rescue Post, up to half a meter of snow has accumulated at the summit in the form of drifts.

As of the morning of October 1, the weather conditions were as follows:

  • Air temperature: -5°C.
  • Wind: gusts up to 12 m/s.
  • Visibility: limited, snowfall continuing.

Rescuers urge tourists to refrain from going into the mountains due to difficult conditions related to strong winds and poor visibility.

It is worth noting that on September 29, 2025, winter weather had already been observed in the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
