In Kyiv, bus routes have been changed during the alert: details of the updates

According to inkorr.com: Today, October 20, 2025, in Kyiv during the air alarm signal, buses No. 110, No. 111, and No. 112 that cross the Podilsky Bridge will switch to temporary routes. This decision aims to avoid traffic jams and ensure passenger safety. This was reported by 44.ua.

Changes in bus routes

The changes approved by the City Defense Council only concern buses moving across the bridge. Transport that runs from the left bank to the right bank will continue to operate unchanged. The route numbers will reflect their status: regular route — unchanged, while with the suffix “-T” or “-D” — temporary. The Kyiv City State Administration advises Kyiv residents to closely monitor the information on the display boards to choose the correct direction and avoid confusion in traffic.

How bus routes will change in Kyiv on October 20

The movement schemes depend on the location of buses during the alert. If the transport is not located on Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska Street (from the Havansky Bridge to the Upper Val), the first scheme with “-T” will be in effect:

  • No. 110-T: from Heroes of Ukraine Square through Khreshchatyk, Havansky Bridge, Northern Bridge, Podilsky Bridge to Heroes of Chernihiv Square;
  • No. 111-T: similarly, but to Darnytsia Square;
  • No. 112-T: from Dehtiarivska Street through Upper Val, Havansky Bridge, Northern Bridge, Podilsky Bridge to Ivan Mykytienko Street.

If the bus is on the specified section of Naberezhno-Khreshchatytska, the second scheme for No. 110 and No. 111 with “-D” will be used: bypassing through Naberezhno-Lukhova, Mezhyhirska, Stepana Bandery Avenue, and Northern Bridge, and then to the final stops. For No. 112, such an option is not provided. Detailed maps can be found on the Kyiv City State Administration website.

Reasons for changes in bus routes

These changes respond to frequent alerts and the need to ensure efficient transport during dangerous moments. Previously, similar adjustments were made on other bridges to reduce risks during evacuations. The Kyiv City State Administration emphasizes:

“During an air alarm, pay attention to the route number!”
- this is the key to safe movement in the city during difficult times.

We remind you that free public transport is still available in Kyiv for certain groups of the population. In 2025, free rides on the metro, trams, trolleybuses, and buses are available with the 'Kyiv Resident Card'.

Thus, changes in transport routes are aimed at ensuring maximum safety and comfort during air alarms. Kyiv residents should stay informed about the new conditions to avoid unforeseen situations and maintain their safety while traveling in the city.
