Heating Situation in Kyiv
According to TSN.ua: Sixty-seven residential buildings in Kyiv remain without heat. Municipal utility workers are aiming to restore heating by the morning of January 17. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that specialists are working around the clock to resolve the situation. He also emphasized that the number of buildings without heating will be reduced to zero.
Critical Conditions on the Left Bank
The most severe situation is observed on Kyiv's left bank. In response, the city has established a special headquarters to deal with the aftermath of Russian strikes on the energy infrastructure. To improve the situation, curfew restrictions are also being eased in areas under an energy-related state of emergency.
Simultaneously, Kyiv has implemented a strict electricity conservation regime, including restrictions on outdoor lighting. These limitations will take effect from January 16. The city continues to take measures to improve the energy situation and restore heat. This disruption occurs during a harsh winter, compounding the challenges for residents.
The heating situation in Kyiv is a result of attacks on energy infrastructure, which are significantly impacting the city's daily life.
