Conflict during the rally in support of NABU and SAP
On July 31, a rally was held in Kyiv in support of the draft law regarding the National Anticorruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), which was attended by MP Mariana Bezuhla. During the rally, a conflict arose between the MP and the activists.
A local man asked Bezuhla why she supported the bill to limit the powers of NABU and SAP. 'I have already voted and explained my position,' the MP replied.
Bezuhla expressed hope that rallies in front of the Verkhovna Rada could contribute to the opening of sessions. She also emphasized the importance of effective dialogue between the government and society. The activists labeled her a provocateur and sent her to work.
During the rally, there was also a minute of silence, during which Bezuhla left. It is worth noting that the residents of Kyiv came out in support of the bill to restore the powers of NABU and SAP before the Council meeting. Subsequently, the Verkhovna Rada voted for bill No. 13533, proposed by Volodymyr Zelensky.
