About Andriy Makarov
28-year-old soldier Andriy Makarov died on October 20, 2025, in Kyiv, where he was undergoing treatment after a severe shrapnel injury, according to 'Hlavkom' citing the Rivne City Council.
Andriy Makarov was born on October 22, 1996, in Rivne. He studied at the 22nd school and then worked as a courier.
Although Andriy did not serve in the army before the full-scale invasion, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces. He initially fought as part of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade and later transferred to the Third Assault Brigade at his own request.
Andriy was kind, had many friends, and loved to communicate with people. On weekends, he would go away for leisure outside the city.
Tragic Events
In January of this year, while carrying out a combat mission in Kharkiv Oblast, Andriy sustained serious shrapnel injuries, after which complications arose during treatment. Various medical institutions in the country fought for his life.
Unfortunately, 28-year-old soldier Andriy Makarov died on October 20, 2025, in Kyiv.
The last journey of Andriy Makarov took place on October 29, when he was buried in the cemetery in the village of Oleksandriya in Rivne Raion.
The hero is survived by his parents, a sister, a wife, and three children.
