A petition has been awarded in Kyiv suggesting to rename the eighth metro station. The idea was put forward by Andriy Patlatiuk, who believes that the current names of the stations do not clearly indicate their location.
What exactly is proposed to change in the names of metro stations in Kyiv
The author of the petition expressed the following thoughts:
- 'Darnytsia' is proposed to be renamed to 'Children's World';
- 'Chernihivska' may become 'Kyoto Park';
- 'Lisova' could be called 'Brovarska';
- 'Berestyanska' — 'Hrusky';
- 'Minska' — 'Pohonia';
- 'Tarasa Shevchenka' — 'Podilska';
- 'Chervonyi Khutir' — 'Mykilskiy Lis';
- 'Mostytska' — 'Biliche Pole'.
So far, only 43 people have supported the petition. However, it is important that this idea does not encounter indifference.
Earlier, plans were considered in Kyiv for a new metro station between 'Zhytomyrska' and 'Svyatoshynska'. It is also worth noting that the Kyiv metro currently has the largest losses among all cities in Ukraine.
