What is Ukrainian Fashion Week

Ukrainian Fashion Week (UFW) is a professional fashion platform that has been held twice a year in Kyiv since 1997. During this time, UFW has presented over 100 designers who have gained recognition on the international stage.

New names on an unusual runway

Special attention this season is given to young designers who presented their collections in an unusual format of an open photo session. The granite steps of the Ukrainian House have become a symbolic runway reflecting the combination of classical architecture and modern art.

New generation of embroidered shirts

Particular attention was drawn to 10 young designers who have achieved success on international runways and presented their new collections in Ukraine. From Maria Dobrova's Freedom Flow collection, embodying the dynamic energy of the resilience of Ukrainian women, to Anastasia Naumenko's collection exploring a state of constant metamorphosis.

Sustainability and upcycling

At UFW, special attention was paid to sustainable fashion. Many designers used upcycling techniques, transforming old items into new masterpieces. This contributes to environmental preservation and adds uniqueness to each collection.

Young designers had the opportunity to win a grant from Iryna Adonina's United For Freedom charity foundation, which will help them develop their brands and create new collections.

Also among the participants were collections by designer Elison Diez (ELISON DIEZ) and graduate of the School of Art x Craft Solomiya Hrynkov.

It is important to note that the participants of the Ukrainian band were handed draft notices after their performance.
