Air raid alert in Kiev and several regions: What threat exists.
In the afternoon of January 19, an air raid alert was declared in Kiev and several regions of Ukraine due to a threatening ballistic danger. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
«Warning! Threat from the use of ballistic weapons from the east!»
The alert was triggered at 15:54 in the capital when the military discovered a threatening ballistic danger.
The head of Kiev's military administration, Timur Tkatshenko, also confirmed information about the ballistic threat and urged people to stay in safe places until the alert was lifted.
Spread of the Alert
By 16:00, an air raid alert was declared in the regions of Kiev, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk.
At 16:29, the end of the alert was announced in Kiev and the region.
At 17:10, the threat remained only in Sumy and Poltava.
As a reminder, in the afternoon of January 19, part of Ukraine was under air raid alert due to an attack by 'Shahed'. Air defense was in operation in the Kiev region.
