In Kyiv, a woman inflicted knife wounds on her partner and went to sleep: details.
According to ТСН: In the Darnytsia district of Kyiv, a woman was detained after inflicting four knife wounds on her partner during a conflict, and then went to sleep.
According to the police, the incident occurred in one of the residential buildings in the Darnytsia district. Residents called the police when they found a man in the corridor with multiple knife wounds. An investigative group and medics arrived at the scene, who hospitalized the victim.
Incident details
The injured man is a 30-year-old Kyiv resident who rented a flat in the building. During a shared drinking session, a conflict arose between him and his 28-year-old partner. During the quarrel, the woman grabbed a kitchen knife and deliberately stabbed the man four times in different parts of his body. As a result of the attack, the man sustained a penetrating knife wound to the abdomen and other serious injuries that pose a threat to his life. After the incident, the woman did not call for help and decided to go to sleep, while the injured man managed to reach the corridor and ask neighbors for help.
Legal consequences
It turned out that the detained woman had previously had dealings with law enforcement for illegal drug trafficking. Authorities informed the woman of suspicion under part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional serious bodily harm threatening life. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect.
If proven guilty, the woman faces up to eight years of imprisonment.
This incident further highlights the seriousness of domestic violence issues, which remain relevant in Ukraine. According to sociological research, conflicts related to alcohol often become catalysts for serious crimes. Law enforcement urges citizens not to remain silent and to seek help in cases of domestic violence.
