Russian army strike in Kramatorsk results in journalist fatalities

A British journalist was killed in a missile strike on the 'Sapphire' hotel in Kramatorsk. This was reported by the head of the Kramatorsk city military administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko.

The body of a British citizen was found under the rubble of the destroyed hotel building. This became known from an official report by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Additionally, six people were injured in the shelling, with varying degrees of severity, including four journalists. All of them received serious injuries.

The Russian forces struck the city with an 'Iskander-M' missile on the night of August 25. The residential neighborhood where the hotel was located became a target for the occupiers. Journalists in the vicinity received mine-blast injuries and other serious damages. There are still people under the rubble, and rescue operations are ongoing.

This shelling is part of Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine. Journalists, including those from abroad, are witnesses to these brutal actions by the occupiers.
