The Ukrainian military has received over 100 new samples

In February 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that it had allowed the operation of over 100 new military equipment and weapon samples, most of which are produced in Ukraine. This is a significant increase compared to last year when only 60 weapon samples were put into operation, of which a third was produced in Ukraine.

Among the new samples that were put into operation in February are unmanned aerial systems, munitions for them, electronic warfare systems, automotive equipment, and aviation equipment. Also, just since the beginning of this year, over 10 new unmanned aerial systems with fiber-optic control channels have been put into operation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Innovative samples of weaponry quickly change the course of the war. Aerial drones provide reconnaissance, situational control on the battlefield and can act as means to strike enemy targets. Currently, drones costing only $500 can hit enemy targets worth tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars,” comments Ministry of Defense representative Valeriy Churkin.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense reported on a new contract program with Ukrainian weapon manufacturers, which will allow for long-term contracts and technology development. It was also announced the launch of a new state enterprise 'Digital Army', which will integrate cutting-edge technologies into the defense sector and collaborate with the private sector.
