Lviv launches a monthly pass for all transport: how to obtain it in the app.

According to inkorr.com: Lviv has introduced a new 30-day pass for public transport users, which can be easily purchased through the mobile app LeoCard. This decision makes the purchasing process more convenient: there is no need to visit ticket offices or terminals. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.

With the new feature, passengers can buy travel passes online, activate them in the app, and use a QR code for their trips. The pass provides unlimited travel on any city transport in Lviv for a month.

Cost of public transport pass in Lviv

The price of the pass is 900 UAH for all users, and for students, it is only 450 UAH. This guarantees unlimited travel on buses, trams, and trolleys in Lviv for a month.

Activation process for the pass

Activating the pass is quite simple: after purchasing, the ticket will appear in the 'My Tickets' menu with a QR code that becomes active 15 minutes after the selected date. On the transport, passengers can present the code to the validator for verification, and during inspections, show it to the inspectors.

To use the new service, Lviv residents need to follow a few simple steps:

• Download or update the LeoCard app;
• Choose and pay for the pass (900 UAH - general, 450 UAH - student);
• Activate the QR code and validate it during the first trip;
• Keep the code for checks during the validity period.

Savings from using the pass

Regular use of the pass can significantly save money compared to payment by card or cash. For instance, for daily trips to work, the cost of the pass is recouped after 10-15 trips. Representatives of LKP 'Lvivavtodor' emphasized that the student rate is only available on physical LeoCard cards, while in the app, only the general version is available. This limitation is related to verifying student status, however, for other users, the app is a full-fledged tool.
