In Lviv, a man was sentenced to imprisonment for attacking an employee of the TCC and a police officer.
According to ТСН: The Sykhiv District Court of Lviv delivered a verdict in the case of an attack on a law enforcement officer and a soldier. The accused used tear gas and fled from the military and the police. He was sentenced to a probationary period.
What is known about the incident
The incident occurred around 12:15 on the parking lot on Buzkova Street in Lviv on September 10.
The police officer and the soldier were patrolling the area. They approached the accused and requested to check his military registration documents.
Instead of complying, the accused began to flee. When he was stopped, the man sprayed a gas canister towards the police officer and the soldier.
As a result of the attack, the police officer and the soldier from the TCC suffered chemical burns. After this, the man disappeared from the scene.
What the defendant said
In court, the accused admitted his guilt. He explained that being 'frightened' by the demand to present documents, he took out a canister of tear gas and used it against the law enforcement officers.
The court classified his actions as an attack on a law enforcement officer and a public official while performing their duties.
The court's verdict
The man was found guilty under part 2 of article 345, part 2 of article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court sentenced him to 1 year of probation.
