Low-floor buses added in Lviv: how many and on which routes.
According to inkorr.com: Three more low-floor buses have hit the routes in Lviv, significantly easing mobility for people with disabilities, parents with strollers, and elderly passengers. The new vehicles have joined the bus fleet on routes No. 14, No. 23, and No. 34. The Lviv City Council reported this .
Comfort and accessibility for all
Oleg Partika, head of the Lviv City Council's transport department, noted that the update aims to make public transport as convenient as possible:
“This means more comfort and fewer barriers for everyone who uses public transport. Step by step, we are making it convenient and accessible for all residents.”
Since the beginning of this year, 68 new low-floor buses have already hit the routes in Lviv, belonging to both public and private carriers. Currently, over 350 modern vehicles adapted for passengers with special needs are operating in the city.
Fare rates in Lviv
Unified fare rates for public transport have been in effect since May 2025. The cost depends on the payment method:
students with a LeoКарт card — 8.5 UAH;
payment via LeoКарт or LeoCard app — 17 UAH;
payment by bank card — 20 UAH;
cash — 25 UAH.
These changes in Lviv's transport system are part of a program aimed at increasing accessibility and quality of transportation. The city continues to receive new buses that meet European safety and comfort standards.
Considering numerous investments in public transport development, Lviv is actively working to improve conditions for all passengers. The fleet update allows for easier movement around the city and makes it more convenient for all population categories, while also meeting European accessibility requirements.
