Morocco Sees Snow for the First Time in Half a Century.
Snowfalls, cold weather, and rain continue in some regions of Morocco. Meteorologists report that the cause of these unexpected weather deteriorations is cold air masses from Northern Europe. In some provinces, up to 35-40 cm of snow has accumulated. The temperature in the mountainous areas has also significantly dropped, but this has not deterred many tourists who arrived to enjoy the winter nature of Africa.
Tourist bases and recreation centers located in the mountainous areas have also been covered in snow. For instance, many winter sports enthusiasts have gathered at the Ukimden base. The snowy and mountainous regions of the country are also attracting many tourists who came to enjoy winter activities and the beauty of nature.
It is also worth noting that heavy snowfall and wind have caused problems with transportation and electricity supply in some Balkan countries.
