In the 'Municipal Guard' of Kyiv, a widespread practice has been discovered, where people attempt to avoid conscription by getting employed in this organization. Some veterans and combat participants are also involved in security. According to the Municipal Guard, they employ 1600 staff members who ensure the safety of 1115 objects. However, Kyiv City Council member Andriy Vitrenko emphasizes that there are also those in this organization who are supposed to fulfill their constitutional duties, rather than hiding from military service. Funding for the Municipal Guard has been increasing year by year, which causes outrage. It is also worth noting that a former fighter, Villy Perehodenko, may work in the Municipal Guard, and the capital is facing the issue of parking collapse, which complicates the movement of rescuers and medical personnel in the courtyards.
