Ukraine has begun negotiations with partners regarding mobilization and the reduction of conscription age
Ukraine is actively negotiating with international partners on mobilization and the possible reduction of conscription age. At the same time, the Ukrainian side emphasizes the need for the swift delivery of promised weapons. This was stated by the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgiy Tikhiy, during a briefing on November 28.
It is usually Ukraine that initiates such discussions. In our negotiations, we inform our partners about the dynamics of mobilization taking place in our country. This is part of the discussion, just like other topics such as the provision of weapons, strategy, defense, sanctions, deterrence, etc., Tikhiy noted.
According to him, Ukraine currently does not have enough weapons and equipment for mobilized troops.
When we read sources that say Ukraine needs to mobilize more, and this is the main problem, we have a different vision. In our opinion, the aid, weapons, and equipment that have already been announced should arrive in Ukraine faster, he emphasized.
Previously, U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan linked the difficult situation on the battlefield in Ukraine to mobilization issues, despite the receipt of a large amount of American weapons.
