Nationwide Air Raid Sirens Sound in Ukraine on the Night of June 21

According to Novyny.live: Ukraine issued a nationwide air raid alert late on the night of June 20-21, following the takeoff of a MiG-31K aircraft, a known carrier of the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic missile. The jet’s departure was recorded at 12:54 AM local time. The missile subsequently passed through the Kyiv region heading toward Zhytomyr. Monitoring channels indicated a potential trajectory toward Starokostiantyniv in the Khmelnytskyi region.

By 1:02 AM, the air raid map had been updated. Just a day earlier, on June 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Ukrainians to take all air raid warnings seriously. His call gained added urgency given that the previous night—June 19-20—Russian forces launched 99 drones of various types across the country.

“Attention! All of Ukraine is under missile threat! A MiG-31K takeoff has been detected — Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

Given the current situation, authorities are urging citizens to follow safety protocols and stay updated with official news channels.

The recurring air raid alerts across Ukraine highlight the persistent danger posed by missile and drone attacks. Recent events underscore the continuation of hostilities and the critical need for the population to remain constantly vigilant. It is essential that Ukrainians adhere to government directives and closely monitor news updates, as the security situation can change rapidly.
