A separate prison was built for a 14-year-old radicalized girl in Germany.
According to ТСН: The German juvenile system and psychiatry found themselves in a difficult situation due to the case of a 14-year-old girl who was radicalized online. Due to her dangerous behavior, a separate prison had to be built.
According to sources, the girl will be temporarily placed in a specially equipped container near Paderborn in a secured area, where security services will constantly monitor her safety.
Why 50 clinics refused her
The situation is complicated because the traditional medical system is powerless. Radicalization is not a mental illness, so doctors cannot forcibly treat the girl. However, keeping her in prison is also not easy, given her age at the time of the crimes.
It is known that childcare authorities approached about 50 psychiatric institutions in the country but were refused everywhere due to risks for the staff.
Attack on a nurse
The most serious incident occurred in August at a clinic in Paderborn. The girl, taking advantage of the moment when the guard left the kitchen, grabbed a kitchen knife and attacked the nurse from behind. The woman suffered severe injuries, and only emergency surgery saved her life.
"To kill before turning 14"
The investigation revealed that the girl deliberately planned her crimes. She discussed her intentions to kill police officers online and expressed a desire to commit murder before turning 14. According to German laws, criminal responsibility begins at this age, so the girl hoped to evade punishment.
Earlier, she had already attempted to escape from a secured tourist complex, fleeing from there twice. During one escape, the girl broke a window and threatened a police officer with a shard.
Currently, placement in the container is considered a "temporary measure" while authorities seek a long-term solution for a child who has become a real threat to society.
This case has raised concerns about how modern technologies and the environment can affect youth, especially regarding radicalization. While authorities search for effective solutions, justice requires immense efforts to ensure the safety of both the child and society as a whole.
