According to Novyny.live: As the fourth anniversary of the full-scale invasion approaches, Odesa has unveiled new memorial panels bearing the names of fallen defenders, with 627 heroes now commemorated. The tribute took place in Shevchenko Park, where 25 new names of fallen soldiers were added to the Avenue of Heroes. This event marks a significant step in preserving the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine's freedom. The ongoing war has made such memorials a poignant feature of public life across the country.
The Avenue of Heroes, located in Taras Shevchenko Park, was officially inaugurated on August 29, 2024. Angelina Liubchak, head of the public organization 'Families of Angels of Light,' stated:
"Today, 25 new names have been added to our Avenue of Heroes, bringing the total number of heroes represented here to 627." - Angelina Liubchak
This demonstrates that the memory of the fallen defenders remains vital to society. Among the heroes immortalized is Oleksandr Narozhnyi, an artilleryman who had been defending Ukraine since 2015.
