A woman in Odesa has been charged with desecrating a flag: what she faces.
According to inkorr.com: A 35-year-old woman is suspected of desecrating the state flag in Odesa. It has been established that she tore the flag from the facade of a store and threw it in the trash. This incident became known to the police of the Odesa region on October 30.
The event took place near a supermarket in the Peresyp district of Odesa and was discovered during social media monitoring by law enforcement.
The investigators found that the video features a local resident, previously convicted multiple times for theft and drug offenses. Her actions were classified according to part 1 of Article 338 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The suspect refused to comment on her actions, and now she faces liability ranging from a fine to three years of imprisonment.
Events in Przemyśl and Sumy
In Przemyśl, the Polish police detained two young men who threw the Ukrainian flag from the building of the honorary consulate of Ukraine. The individuals, aged 21 and 23, have been charged, and the case has been referred to the district prosecutor's office. The police are also investigating a case of desecration of a soldier's grave in Sumy. The wife of the deceased reported the probable disappearance of memorial items and damage to the state flag of Ukraine. A criminal proceeding has been opened under Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
